2017’s trailer was more visual than my previous efforts, mostly because the theme was “Be Seen” which begged for a purely visual experience.
This is gonna sound really pretentious, but I was inspired by filmmakers Stanley Kubrick and Wes Anderson and their famous rigid film compositions. I also wanted to feature queer people in real Seattle locations that some locals might not even know about. In all, it took us about five days to complete the photography and another week to edit. The trailer was broadcast on by Seattle’s local Comcast cable provider as well as in local theaters. It was also shown before each screening during the festival.
