David Quantic - Editor & Filmmaker

Emmy-winning filmmaker David Quantic has produced video content for a variety of clients including PBS, CBS, The Motion Picture Academy, HBO & Jeffrey Schwarz, Faze Clan gaming collective and Howard Schultz, founder of Starbucks.

Originally from Kansas, David received an MFA at UCLA’s prestigious Film Directing program in 2004. After graduating, he worked as a freelance filmmaker in LA while making more than 20 personal short films that have screened in festivals worldwide including LA’s Outfest, SF’s Frameline, Palm Springs International Shorts Fest and Provincetown International Film Festival.

In 2016 he moved to Seattle to work for the Queer Film Festival. He currently works as the senior video editor for Cascade Public Media which owns local news site crosscut.com and KCTS, the Seattle PBS affiliate. While there his work has been nominated for eleven Northwest Regional Emmy Awards and won one in 2023 for Historical/Cultural - Short Form Content.
