Three Dollar Bill Cinema ShoutOuts
I created the ShoutOut promo series for Seattle’s Three Dollar Bill Cinema in the beginning of 2017. The promos feature members of Seattle’s diverse queer filmmaking community including activists, filmmakers, performers and board members from a variety of different communities.
Before starting, I crafted a series of questions about each interviewee’s relationship to Three Dollar Bill and queer cinema in general. This enabled us to craft a variety of topical cuts that feel conversational and friendly and do more than just promote Three Dollar Bill programs.
The promos were adaptable to a variety of different applications including social media posts, fundraising auctions and pre-screening content. In fact, Three Dollar Bill is still using the footage almost two years since they were first created - a testament to the usefulness of the original concept.
